Government extends water labeling experiment until June 1

The experiment began on April 1, 2020 and was scheduled to end on March 1, 2021The Russian government has extended the experiment on water labeling until June 1, 2021. The corresponding resolution is published on the official portal of publication of legal acts.As noted in the explanatory note to the document, the government decree on the introduction of mandatory labeling may enter into force on September 1, 2021, and its draft must be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers by May 1, 2021. Thus, the extension of the experiment is conditioned by the need to ensure the continuous transition of the participants of the experiment to the stage of mandatory labeling.
